‘Tonight’s Homework’, co-directed by Ashkan Nejati and Mehran Nematollahi, will be screened in the 8th edition of IFFZ.
In ‘Tonight’s Homework’, the directors of the documentary, repeat questions, asked by Iran’s prominent director Abbas Kiarostami in his 1989 film ‘Homework’, to students at a state school, including questions about homework, punishments, and dreams for the future, to see how the society has changed.
Earlier reports said the Iranian films ‘Ti Ti, ‘Yadoo’, ‘Bone Marrow’, ‘Without Everything’, ‘World Northern Hemisphere’, ‘Water, Wind, Dust, Bread’, and ‘No Choice’ would also take part in IFFZ.
The Iranian Film Festival of Zurich is “a platform for presenting the Iranian culture and tradition and for building a bridge between different cultures by the means of the universal language of art – and especially the 7th art, cinema”, the event’s website reads.
The 8th edition of IFFZ will kick off on May 26 and run until June 1.
